Would you agree that everyone is addicted to something? What are you addicted to? Or have you managed to elude this highly pervasive epidemic? What exactly is addiction? Is addiction necessarily a bad thing? Can there be any upsides to it? How can we clearly identify if we're addicted to something? Where do these addictions come from?  Why are they so hard to drop?

Addiction is not a disease and can carry on undetected for years, in the most unexpected ways. In fact, society and culture are built to reinforce addiction.

This topic has been discussed with increasing frequency and insight during the past few decades. Let's take a look at the multitude of data, case studies and enlightening answers that have come to light as a result. Let’s listen to a few experts in the field, who have dedicated their lives to understanding and addressing addiction, as well as its underlying issues connected to trauma and societal and systemic factors. And let’s do a bit of self-reflection to discover to what degree our own addictions hold us back and what we can do about it.
